FUEL Rules and Regulations

Eligible Members

  1. Eligible members are defined as;
    a. Real Estate Agents licensed in the province in which they operate
    b. Financial Planners who are duly registered to deal in the sale of securities
    c. Sales employees of Builders/Developers
    d. Parties deemed eligible by Origin, who are duly authorized in their province to make eligible referrals contemplated by the FUEL Rewards Program.

  2. Persons who are not eligible to be members include;
    a. Employees of Origin
    b. Mortgage Brokers and their employees

  3. Members must disclose to their employers (if applicable) the fact that they are participating in FUEL.

  4. Members shall not be considered to be employees or representatives of Origin and any information provided to them in the context of a referral made under FUEL is not binding on Origin.

  5. Members are not authorized to provide any details, or make any representations, on the financing facility conditions offered by Origin and/or its affiliated Financial Institutions.

    Registration/Sign Up

  6. Members may register by completing the required sign up form, either online at www.FUELbyorigin.ca or through an Origin Mortgage Advisor. The members represent that the information provided in the sign up form is complete and accurate.

  7. The members agree that Origin may collect, use and disclose personal and business information to mange FUEL and more precisely to allow the processing of referrals and to carry out all activities in relation to FUEL.

  8. Members must be registered in FUEL to earn FUEL points. No points will be granted for referrals and advances made prior to registration

    Points

  9. For Origin to grant points;
    a. a member must make an eligible financing referral to Origin, that is advanced.
    b. the financing facility must be advanced with Origin and/or one of its Affiliated Financial Institutions.
    c. the minimum amount of the new financing facility advanced must be $50,000.00

  10. The points granted will be as per the below noted formula. The points formula applies from the first referred financing advance date until that same date in the next calendar year.

  11. These points will be granted to only one member, determined to be the effective cause of the referral as determined by Origin in its sole discretion.

  12. Points are;
    a. not redeemable for cash
    b. not transferable
    c. valid only while the member is active and registered in FUEL

  13. Points will not be granted where the client is a previous and/or current client of Origin.

  14. Any account discrepancy, including missing advanced referrals, must be reported by the member to a FUEL and/or Origin representative within 60 days of the advance date. If notification of missing points is not reported within 60 days of the advance date, no points for a missing referral will be awarded. Origin reserves the right to adjust points at anytime.

  15. It is the member's responsibility to track their points. Each member can access their points account online at www.FUELbyorigin.ca. Each member has a password protected account which keeps track of their reported points activity.

  16. Members that have been inactive (no referrals to Origin) for 12 months may, at the sole discretion of Origin, be removed from FUEL. Any unused points at that time may be reclaimed by Origin

  17. Origin reserves the right to audit all transactions to validate the information submitted. Origin reserves the right to disallow points that were awarded in error.

    Rewards

  18. Points awarded in FUEL can be redeemed against all product and service categories in the www.FUELbyorigin.ca website catalogue.

  19. Members acknowledge that any personal, federal and/or provincial income tax liability arising from the receipt of products and/or services from FUEL, is their sole responsibility.

  20. When redeeming for rewards, points cannot be supplemented with payment by cash or credit.

  21. While Origin and FUEL make reasonable effort to provide merchandise as described in the online catalogue, Origin reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute merchandise of similar type and value to that offered, and to adjust point requirements up or down, in order to reflect price conditions at the time of order, with notice to the member.

  22. Merchandise is covered by normal manufacturers' warranties only. Warranty claims must be made directly with the manufacturer. Origin is not responsible for any damages resulting from the misuse or incorrect assembly of merchandise.

  23. Merchandise cannot be returned, unless damaged during shipping. Merchandise will be shipped by courier to the members address for service on their initial registration/sign up form.

  24. Points can be redeemed for travel and business services.

  25. FUEL temporarily freezes the member's account for points on a pending reward redemption until the confirmation of redemption is completed. Upon confirmation, the actual number of points will be deducted from the member's account, releasing any unused points for future redemptions

  26. It is the responsibility of the member selecting travel rewards to arrange for all insurance needs, passports, visas and any other travel documentation required.

    General Program Rules

  27. Origin reserves the right to cancel the FUEL program on not less than 120 days prior notice to members.

  28. Members must comply at all times with the present program rules and regulations as well as with the laws, regulations and administrative rules governing their activities in the province(s) in which they pursue their activities.

  29. It is the responsibility of the member to notify the FUEL Service Centre of any change in their status, including a change of employers, address for service, email or cellular phone number of chosen name(s).

  30. Origin is the final authority as to the interpretation of these rules and regulations and the awarding of points to members of FUEL. Origin reserves the right to disallow points and disqualify members. Origin further reserves the right to change the rules and regulations, including the points formula, without notice.

  31. Each member releases and saves harmless Origin, FUEL and its suppliers from any and all claims, demands, actions or causes of action arising out of or in consequence of any loss, injury, or damage incurred in connection with any dispute about points, referrals, merchandise, travel and/or business services obtained through the FUEL program.. Each member indemnifies and holds the releasees harmless against any claims of any third person relating to disputes about points, referrals, merchandise, travel and/or business services obtained through the FUEL program by the member.

    Error and Omission Policy

  32. All reasonable and necessary efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained in the online catalogue and the www.FUELbyorigin.ca website. In the event of an error, Origin reserves the right to notify members as to the correct illustration, description or value of the product and/or service. Origin or any of its suppliers are not liable for any errors or omissions that may occur.
